Inspiration: Valley of Salt portrays Peru's Salt Mines in a semi-abstract way that brings forth color and appreciation. Inspired by the way the salt mines perched near the Andes mountains have various colors and irregular squares, I also felt inspired by the people who work together and cherish this major resource to live in such a beautiful place. A reminder of beauty in the mundane.
